Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms lacked a bar fridge and had a funky smell upon arrival, they were still somewhat comfortable. The service was generally pleasant and efficient, with a minor hiccup due to the busy atmosphere. The location, although beautiful with a waterfront view, required some effort to reach certain attractions. The dining experience, though friendly, left me wishing for more variety and better value for the money. Despite the shortcomings, the facilities added some convenience to my stay.
The hotel has a beautiful view, but the decor is very dated and the rooms are quite open, lacking privacy. The service was a mix, with one standout staff member working extra hard, but others not as attentive. The location is wonderful being right on the harbor-front boardwalk in downtown Sydney, Nova Scotia. The dining experience was excellent with a great harbor view, but there were noise disturbances at night. The facilities provided were good overall.
The hotel had a great view from my room, but it was disappointing to find dirty rooms with prominent lip marks. The response to noise complaints from a neighboring guest playing loud music was not satisfactory.
The hotel had mostly clean rooms that were cool and spacious with a comfortable bed. The staff, although a little cold at first due to being busy, went above and beyond to ensure our group was looked after. The location was excellent, perfect for strolling around the waterfront and downtown area. The dining experience, while clean and convenient, could be chaotic at times with slow table turnover. Overall, a nice spot right on the waterfront with optional marketing fees in most places.
The hotel has a cozy and familiar feel to it. The rooms, although lacking a bar fridge, were comfortable and clean. The aging decor still presents that classic Delta Sydney charm. The service, while generally helpful and quick, missed some minor details like cleaning glasses and providing tea/coffee. The location is stunning, right by the waterfront offering beautiful views of Sydney River/Harbour, but it can get quite busy in the mornings. The dining experience was pleasant with a warm and welcoming staff, but the prices were a bit steep for basic items like eggs and bacon.
